Tapas Menu
Tapas means sociability, friends and family.
All of our tapas are hand prepared by our talented chefs in our own kitchen
From soft shell crab to dukkah coated haloumi cheese, tapas is a great dining concept to be brought to Plantations. Traditionally from Spain, tapas in its most basic form is simply a small snack or appetiser taken with a drink or two at lunchtime or in the early evening before the main meal. It is essentially a style of eating rather than a form of cooking.
As the tradition of tapas developed, tapas became more of an elaborate event, with each region of Spain developing their own specialities. They were all 'little dishes' and the personalities of thousands of bar owners all over Spain stamped them with their own identities, reflecting the flavours of the region.
Today at Plantations, all of our tapas are hand prepared by our talented chefs in our own kitchen. We are developing our own specialties and each dish is designed by a one of our own chefs who live here in Ipswich.
So please enjoy one of our unique tapas dishes. Share it with friends or make it the exciting entrée to a great main meal.
